Wisdom Teeth

At Dental Connect, our practitioners are qualified and experienced in wisdom teeth surgery. Wisdom teeth are the final teeth to erupt in your mouth and this usually occurs around the ages of 17-25. In some cases the jaw is not large enough to accommodate these teeth and this is when problems can occur.

These problems can create a need for their removal. If the jaw is not large enough, the teeth can become impacted, meaning they are unable to get through or perhaps have come through misaligned. Wisdom teeth may grow sideways, emerge only part way from the gum or remain trapped beneath the gum and bone.

If you are concerned about your wisdom teeth or have any questions, Contact us. Sleep dentistry (Intravenous Sedation) service is available for your wisdom tooth removal. This is especially ideal for patients with dental phobias.

This is an intravenous sedation using a combination of sedative and pain relieving medications administered by our visiting qualified Sedationist to create a drowsy and dreamlike state of deep relaxation or sleep.
Please refer to Sleep Dentistry for more information.
